Rich Peverley is a professional ice hockey player currently with the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League. Peverley spent four years with the St. Lawrence University hockey team, before he turned pro, and played three years for several teams in both the ECHL and American Hockey League (AHL). Peverley made his NHL debut in March of 2007, and played in 13 games for the Nashville Predators that season. During his first two seasons with the Thrashers, Peverley played in 121 games logging 90 points on 35 goals and 55 assists. During the 2009-10 season he set career highs in games played, points, goals, and assists. On October 20, 2010, Peverley played in his 200th NHL game, and on December 15 scored his 50th career goal in a game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. In February 2011, Peverley was traded by the Thrashers, to the Boston Bruins. He won the Stanley Cup with the Boston Bruins on June 15th, 2011. |
